Softball Team Parties

I can hardly believe it but softball is over.  Pooh Bear and Sugar Bear are quite sad and I must admit I am too!  I have enjoyed my week nights and weekends with my family and friends watching my girls play ball.  But before you know it we will be playing again because the girls have decided that they want to play fall ball.  So after a short summer break and a summer softball camp we will be back.

But I still can't believe I won't take any more ball pictures or pictures of sweet friends that have come to support the girls.

This is Mrs. S and she is the sweet Teachers aid that works in the room with the kids.  She came out one Saturday and cheered on Pooh Bear.  She was fun to watch, I think she got just as wrapped up in the game as I did.  You would have though Pooh Bear was one of hers.

I won't get to take any more pictures of my sweet little girl as she tries to out run the ball while the helmet covers her eyes.

This is one of my dearest friends little girl.  We were so glad that they were able to come and watch Pooh Bear play her game.  I tried to get her little brother in the picture too but he was not having his picture made.

I will also miss getting to sit with my family as we watch the girls. While my Mom fusses at me for yelling at the girls, my Dad helps me figure out what is going wrong with Pooh Bear's swing and my brother shows me up with his awesome pictures each week.

I will also miss getting to watch Daddy Bear helping the girls on and off the field.  I think the girls like having him around to talk to during the game.  If they have any problems or questions he is right there to help.

Sugar Bear had her team party first.   Pizza, popsicles and punch after the last practice, perfect.

Coach Brett got them all on the bleachers and sat them down and talked to them before he started handing put trophies.

She was so excited to get her very FIRST trophy.  I think she may have been a little embarrassed too.

This girl had a great time playing ball all season long.  What she lacked in skill she made up for with enthusiasm.  I think the only reason she played this year was because her sister was.  But....I think she is going to really like softball.  I also suspect she will be playing for many more years.

I was in charge of Pooh Bear's party.  So we went to Joe's Crab Shack and I think the kids had a blast.
Green Machine trophies.

The girls played on the playground while the adults waited on their food.  Here is Pooh Bear with her favorite friend on the WHOLE team.  If for no other reason I am glad she played just so she could meet this sweet little girl.   Her Momma and I hope to try and get them together this summer.

Can you girls say CHEESE.

After dinner Coach passed out the trophies. This was Pooh Bear's 3rd softball trophy.

This softball season just about did me in.  The 8U league was a little more serious than I thought it was going to be.  And watching my girls struggle was not easy.  But we made it through it and I think we came out better.  Like I said before the girls are super excited about ball and ready for more.
