Easter Afternoon

I can only imagine what you are thinking.  Swimming?  I had not planned on the girls swimming at their Nana and Papa's house on Easter.  But we caved to the pressure of 6 kids begging to PLEASE let them swim.  We tried to tell them it would be cold and that I did not bring their swim suits.  But again they did not care.  So with a little help from Nana rounding up "swim suits" before we knew it the kids were in the pool and turning blue.

But I guess you can tell by that smile, she did not care about the cold water.

She loves the slide but not the salt water.  She was holding her nose to keep all the water out.

Sugar Bear on the other hand learned the hard way that sliding in the pool without holding your nose is no fun.  She came up coughing and spitting.  She kept saying this water taste bad.  And of course that is when I explained that she is not suppose to drink the water.

I was able to get Cousin S and Pooh Bear to stop long enough for a cute picture.

And Cousin G was fun to watch.  He kept picking on his little sister and tying to turn her float over.  We also judged him in a diving contest.

Cousin S was having a great time helping all the other girls come up with ideas of fun ways to play in the pool.  Pooh Bear really liked her idea to slide onto the float at the bottom.

Cousin B was happy as can be just relaxing on the floats.  I think him and Sugar Bear got tired of the cold water first.  At one time they both had blue lips.

Like I said before it was not what I thought we would be doing but non the less the kids had a great time.  And I am glad we caved and let the kids enjoy themselves.  I wonder how many of their friends at school got to swim on Easter?  I am sure it was a fun story to tell the next day.
