Story TIme

September 30, 2009

Last year we went to Story time every week but we have not been this year so we decided to go this morning. Sugar Bear always loves going.

This is a picture of her craft. All the stories were about apples, so they made one. It is a cd with red paper, stem and leaf glued on. She put her finger through the middle and I put a face on it.

Halloween 2008

Halloween 2009

It is not until I do post like this one that I realize just how much bigger Pooh Bear is. She looks like such a little girl in the picture from last year and a big girl this year. Where does the time go?

In the Halloween Mood

My hubby and I are NOTORIOUS for putting up decorations for Halloween and Christmas way to early. My neighbors are always picking on me. They always ask if my Halloween decorations are coming down before I put up my Christmas. But when you put up 7 trees you have to start early....but that is for another time. Well this Halloween is no different. September is not even over and we have our Halloween decorations out. What can I say? We are two Big Kids and of course the girls love it. Here is a peek at some of our inside decorations....

This cute little guy and six of his friends are hanging from my chandelier in the kitchen

This not so scary pumpkin is a punch bowl and he is on my dinning room table. Most of the time I fill him up with my Halloween candy.

Cute pictures of Pooh Bear from years past. I know what your thinking, where is Sugar Bear? Don't worry I am going to put some out of her too I just have to get them printed.

Daddy Bear asked me today what we are going to put in the pockets to count down the days. I said candy, but after I thought about it maybe I need to do something else.

I found this wreath at Sam's about 4 years ago. I still like it as much as I did when I bought it. Mom and I added the bow and I think it is perfect.

Cute rug I found on sale at Pottery Barn kids a couple of years ago.

I am going to try and take some pictures of the outside as soon as I get a chance.

Sunday School Tree

When I was told I had a bulletin board in my Sunday School Room to decorate I was so excited to say the least!! I had 500 ideas running through my head all at once. It was all I could think about for days. I finally settled on this and I think it turned out pretty cute.

I plan do doing pumpkins in October, turkeys in November and snowmen/angels in December. I also plan on changing the leaves as the seasons change.

Miss Frankenstein Dress

I wanted to do a post and show you the Miss Frankenstein dress finished. I think it turned out pretty cute. And I really like that it is on a hot pink dress and not your typical orange or black.

I added little purple bows to her hair

And pom poms to the bottom

Birthday Party

September 19, 2009

The blow ups at this place were HUGE. They were some of the biggest blow-ups I have ever seen. Pooh Bear was able to get through them pretty easy but poor little Sugar Bear had a hard time.

Sugar Bear was tough and she tired her hardest to make it
through all of them without any help.

Here is a picture of the birthday boy.

Fun Run - September 17, 2009

Pooh Bear and her class before the run.

Running her little heart out

Waiting in line to get shirt marked by the teacher

ALL of her laps marked off

After the race

Pooh Bear had a fun run today at her school. I was so impressed by her, she ran her little heart out. I was tired just watching her. She was as Red as a tomato and she was sweating like crazy at the end. She ran 35 laps around a track that was 1/16 of a mile. She really was pretty AWESOME! She barely even stopped for water.

My new Favorite Place?

This may very well become my new FAVORITE place. I stopped by the new Joanna Fabrics today for just a minute and I was so excited to see all the neat fabric and stuff in there. I will be going back soon. They are having their Grand Opening NEXT Thursday - Saturday and all of their stuff will be on sale and they have coupons for 50% off.

Sorry I know this photo is not great but I took it with my phone. This was only one wall of fabric there is LOTS more! =)

Colors

I bought this poster at the Parent Teacher Store today. I am going to try and help Sugar Bear learn her colors. I am trying to think of some fun ways to do it. If any of you teachers out there have any suggestions I would love to hear them.

Orange and White

Here is my orange something Halloween. But I think I will actually use it for Thanksgiving too. I am going to make a pair of pants to match it.

Thinking outside the box

I am trying to think outside the orange and black Halloween box. This is what I came up with.

Miss Frankenstein on a pink dress. I think I am going to add little bows in her hair. I really like this I think it is super cute. Next...

I did a pink spider. I don't really like the pink spider. I think I should have left him black but oh well. I also had a heck of a time getting the ribbon right on her legs. I think I am going to add a bow to her too. the girls really liked both of them and thats all that really matters in the end! Even though I am trying to think outside the box I am going to do a orange and black shirt too. I will be sure to post it when I get it done.

MMM school lunch

Wednesday morning I had a meeting in the school Library. It was an orientation for the volunteers. I am not sure I am smart enough to figure out all the AR color codes, selections, computers and shelving. I think I may be in over my head. But that is another story for another day. After the meeting I decided Sugar Bear and I would eat lunch with Pooh Bear. Wow, it has been a long time since I have had a good ole school lunch. But let me tell you she has more choices than I ever had and the food was okay.

She got to pick a friend from her class to go outside and eat lunch with us. We were only out there for a short time because a yellow jacket would not leave us alone. And of course as we were walking back in Sugar Bear dropped her tray and noodles were everywhere. I ended up giving her my lunch. Oh well I wasn't that hungry anyway.

After lunch I was mystery reader for Her class. I had a hard time thinking of a book to read to the kids. I wanted to read them something that they maybe had not heard. I also wanted to read them something both the boys and girls would like. So I chose Twelve More Little Race Cars by Scott and Judy Prewitt. It is a cute little book that they all seemed to enjoy. After I read them the book I showed them pictures of Daddy Bear and his race cars. Pooh Bear was so proud she was walking around holding the pictures up so everyone could see them. I think overall my first mystery reader was a success. Whew...
