Halloween Centers - Craft

This is the craft I came up with for the kids. Pooh Bear's sweet teacher found something like this on Oriental Trading but by the time we were ready to purchase it they were sold out. So I decided to recreate it.

I bought a piece of wood that was 12 inches wide and cut it into 8 inch sections. Then I painted the wood green with house paint and painted the words at the top of each plaque. Then Daddy Bear drilled holes and I ran the wire across the top and finished it off with a bow. Next Pooh Bear's teacher did the kids hand prints during one of their center times the day before the party. Last but not least, the kids stuck down the body, eyes and nose and drew the mouth. I thought it turned out pretty cute and hopefully it is something they will all keep.

A Good Question

I get asked all the time how do yo find time to sew. I don't know that I really know the answer to that. I do a little here and a little there. I enjoy being creative and making things so I guess I just make time. But my mom asked me the other day "Why are you making so much, do the girls not have anything to wear? "

Here is Sugar Bear's closet of clothes for the fall season.

Most if not all of her clothes are hand me downs from Big Sis.

And here is Pooh Bear's closet for the fall season. Most of her clothes I earned during my Kelly's Kids party, stuff she can still wear from last year, hand me downs and stuff I got on sale at the end of last fall. So as you can see they both have a lot to wear.

No, the reason I sew other than the fact that I enjoy it is because of this.

I have a cabinet full of cute fabrics that I buy every season and NEVER do anything with. I also have a ton of blank shirts that are just screaming for an applique.

But most of all because of this. I have the perfect place and room to go and do all of my sewing, painting, crafting and everything else. I guess at the end of the day I do it more for myself than the girls. It is just an added bonus that the girls like that I make them stuff. And I figure I only have a limited time to do it. I am afraid before long Pooh Bear will not wear the stuff I make her and if she starts fussing about it I know her little sister will too.

We were Boo-d!

Every year we get Boo-d but this year it was a really GREAT one. We got all kinds of fun stuff to make and the girls will love doing it. I will have to do a post and show you what we make.

Sunday School Tree

When I was told I had a bulletin board in my Sunday School Room to decorate I was so excited to say the least!! I had 500 ideas running through my head all at once. It was all I could think about for days. I finally settled on this and I think it turned out pretty cute.

I plan do doing pumpkins in October, turkeys in November and snowmen/angels in December. I also plan on changing the leaves as the seasons change.
