Art Camp


The girls had a great time at Art Camp this year.  We did a carpool with some of our close friends and it was perfect.  The girls were so excited to see their friends each day!  They had a ton of fun making crafts and doing experiments.  They came home with all kinds of art. 


The theme this year was around the world (last years was the movies).  
They went to Hawaii, the Farm, Antarctica and the Rain Forest. 
They made a cute craft that went with the theme of each place they traveled to.

 




 




 

This is the second year for the girl to go and they are already asking to go back again.

Bump, Bump, Bump


The girls have affectionately named this the Bumpy.
It is a lot of fun but it is tough for me to ride.  I have to put Sugar Bear between my legs and hold on to her with all my might.  I rode the bumpy with them for at least 30 mins but then I HAD to stop.  I just could not handle one more bump. 




So we headed back to the house and my dad pulled them around right by the pier.  
There weren't any boats or waves to worry about so we felt like they were pretty safe. 


As you can tell by all the faces they loved it! 


I am not real sure why she is sticking her tongue out.

Cool..

My Brother is ALWAYS turning something into something else.  
Well this past weekend at the lake was no different.  


Pretty Funny huh?  This is his version of magic.  


But this is what is really happening.  He used the blowers from the blow up side and turned it into a 
ball floater.  The girls came running in and told me to get my camera I had to come take a picture. 



Of course Pooh Bear had to get in the action too! 





I am not sure what he is doing here.  But the girls thought it was hilarious.

Dogs...

I don't think the dogs like the lake as much as we do.  My parents dogs bark at and chase all the boats and wave runners.  I think they really think they are going to catch them.  And our Fluffy dog stands on the pier and whines like he wants  to get in.  But as soon as you put him in the water he panics.  So I don't think he knows what he wants.


Here is Zoid trying to surf.


He gave up on surfing and decided to "relax" and float with dad. 
Doesn't he look relaxed? = ) 


Comet on the other hand is just glad his paws are on the pier! 

Art Camp...


The girls are doing art camp this week and they are having a great time! 
This is the first day they have brought any of their art home.
It was this cute little painted flower pot with a candle.

1 2 3 Jump...


 

Sugar Bear was so funny jumping in the lake.  She jumped in last year but for some reason she had to learn all over.  She would go on the pier hold her nose count to 5 like 5 times then jump.  

 

Then she would  come up laughing and ready to do it again.  She would swim over to the ladder climb up and do it all over again.  1-2-3-4-5, 1-2-3-4-5, 1-2-3-4-5, 1-2--3-4-5, jump! 

The funny thing is that it took so much courage to jump 2 feet. But later that day she jumped from the top of the pier, which is like 20 feet.  She walked up there with Pooh Bear and D and said she was going to jump.  So Daddy Bear, Paw Paw and I were at the bottom waiting on her.  But we NEVER thought she would actually do it.  But next thing we knew she was off the pier and in the water.  I was not able to get a picture b/c I did not have my camera with me.  I never thought she would do it!  When she came up she said I am doing it again.  Daddy Bear and I looked at each other and said NO way she will do it again.  This time she walked straight up and jump straight off she did not even think about it!  But if you ask her today she will tell you that she will do it again NEXT year. 


 

Pooh Bear on the other hand did not even think about jumping off.  She was so fast I did not even get a picture of her jumping, just landing.  

 

She did the same thing as Sugar Bear and she would swim over to the ladder and climb up but she would stop and pose for a picture.   I couldn't get Sugar Bear to do that. 

She also jumped off the top of the pier twice too.  But she has done it a bunch of times before!
I think the first time she jumped off she was Sugar Bear's age around 3 or 4. 

 

After jumping by themselves for a while they decided jumping together was more fun. 

 

Again Sugar Bear was a little slower and thought about it a little longer. 
Where Pooh Bear just jumped in! 




How about that hair?  It took me forever to brush out all the tangles.  
I learned for the next day it needed to be pulled up and braided.

Fun times at the lake...


I bet you are wondering why she is laughing so hard. 
 It is because she just pushed her Uncle D off the pier into the lake. 


Needless to say he did not think it was to funny. 


And payback was all to sweet!

Saturday afternoon we went for a short boat ride and well it was more than Sugar Bear could handle.
She was fighting falling asleep so hard.  But in the end she just could not stay awake.

(She had a little imprint on her lip from the vest)


I know her vest looks unzipped but it was zipped at the bottom and the buckles were buckled.  
Just thought you should know.
