Were okay....

but...... the car.....well.....not so much

The pictures don't really show how bad the damage was.
We were out Saturday night and we were hit in the rear end by another car.
We think he was probably going between 50 and 60 when he hit us.
We don't think he ever checked up.

My spare tire was laying about 5 feet in front of his car and we were about 20 feet in front of him.  We were stopped at a red light and I guess he just did not realize we were stopped.  We think he pushed us all that way when he hit us.

The girls were scared to death!  They were screaming and crying.  They just did not understand.  But they finally calmed down and they are better.  They still have 500 questions that I will probably answering for awhile.

My back step is folded up against the car, my bumper is popped out on both sides, the back up sensors are gone, the hitch is messed up, the gate is buckled, my back windows are rattling, my seat belt is broken and my air bag system light is on.  So it is at the shop being evaluated as to how much damage there really is.  The other car on the other hand was a small Toyota  and it is totaled!!  There was nothing left to his car.  And Daddy Bear said that is why he is glad we have such a big car.  He felt like if we would have been in the van it would have been much worse.

It really does take a lot to hurt a Yukon.

At the end of the day the car can be fixed and I just THANK GOD that we are all okay!

Pesky Elves...

The girls elves have arrived and they are already up to no good!  And the girls love it!

They built a doll house

and a sleigh.

Thanksgiving Day

We had a nice Thanksgiving Day full family and food.  What could be better?

We went to my parents house first and ate with my brother, Aunt, Uncle, 3 cousins and there children.  This picture is of the girls with my cousins little girl.  The funny thing about it is that Emily is only 6 months older than Pooh Bear.  I would say their is a "little" height difference. = )

Here is Pooh Bear with her Paw Paw (my dad).

And here are the girls with Mimi and Paw Paw (my parents).

After we left my moms we headed over to Daddy Bear's parents house.  We got to see 2 of Daddy Bear's sisters and their families.  We also got to see his Aunt and her husband.
Here are the girls with their cousins.

And here are all the kids with Papa (Daddy Bear's Dad) and all the kids and the dogs!

AR Reader!

I am so proud of my big girl!

Pooh Bear's Feast...

Pooh Bear had her feast at school on Monday.  I was not actually helping with this party.  But I did have Library duty so I went up there a few minutes early and took a few pictures.

Here is her class outside listing to a Thanksgiving Story

After the story they came in for the feast.

And here is my little Pilgrim!  Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!

Such a Big Girl....

All smiles....

It seems Pooh Bear has one less tooth to clean.

We were sitting on the couch tonight and I was feeling her tooth and I pulled on it. When I did she grabbed my hand to tell me to stop and when she did the tooth went flying out. I mean it REALLY flew out of her mouth!  The funny thing is that it was not even loose until she bit into an apple the other day.  This makes her third tooth to lose.  She lost her first tooth November of last year and the second came out about two weeks later.  So it has been a whole year since she lost her last tooth.

Parent Observation at Dance.....

I got to watch Pooh Bear at dance the other day too!
Only her class is 2 hours long and Sugar Bear's class was only 1 hour long.

I hated to start with such a blurry picture but I couldn't leave it out!  How many of you can still do this?
I remember doing this and then rocking back and forth.  It  was so easy when I was little but now it is not so easy. = )

She did really good at ballet and she really seemed to enjoy it!

After ballet it was on to Jazz.  Here she is with some of her sweet friends from school.

She had a lot of fun performing the short dance for us.

After jazz was tap.  I could tell she was starting to get tired and loose focus.  She enjoyed it but I think by this point she is just so tired. We had a talk after dance and we may end up dropping tap and just doing ballet and jazz. I hate to let her quite anything but she just looked worn out.  If she wants to take next year I think I will sign her up for ballet and jazz only.

I am proud of my girls and I really enjoy watching them dance.

Sugar Bear's Thanksgiving Feast...

Sugar Bear was so cute at her feast yesterday.  She was a Pilgrim this year where in years past she was an Indian.  She hated her collar and bonnet but she keep it on long enough to sing.  But not until she gave her teacher a whole lot of grief!

This was a really cute song that went falling, falling, falling leaves Mother Nature did you sneeze.
And at the end they went achoo and threw their leaves.  It was really cute!

After the program we went to eat at the feast with Sugar Bear!

Her sister even got to check out to come and support little sis.

And Nana (Daddy Bear's Mom) was there....

and Mimi (my mom) was there....

Here she is with her teacher!  I love her teacher and she is really doing a lot with Sugar Bear.  She has grown and developed so much since school has started.

And of course last but not least me and the girls!
I was not able to get a picture of daddy before he left but he was there too!

Parent Observation at Dance.....

I got to watch Sugar Bear at dance the other day and she was to cute.
I think she really likes dancing and I know she really likes her teacher.

They did a little ballet for us first!  They danced to all kinds of fun songs.

She was dancing to a song called Miss Puff here.  She loves the Miss Puffy song!

Oops the line broke and she went running after her friend.
They all got a little silly when they had to spin in a circle.

Look at her go!

At one part of dance they stomped to the teacher, stopped, said their name and age, and walked off.
Well Sugar Bear stomped up their and said her name but she said I am 3 years old.  After dance I asked her why she said she was 3 because she was 4.  She looked at me and said,  "I said I was 4" and then an argument started.  Finally I showed her the video and she said "Oh I did not realize I said 3 instead of 4" and then she started laughing! Silly girl!

Here she is with one of her friends.  These two have always been friends because of their big sisters but Sugar Bear has gotten really attached to her!  And she talks about her all the time.

Here is her cute little class!

And now we are on to tap.  She loved the boogie woogie!
And the rock and roll!  Should I be worried? =)

  So serious!

She told me before dance that she was not good a shuffle step!
So when it came time to shuffle step she asked for help from her teacher!
And of course she was glad to help.  We really like our new dance studio and we are glad we switched!
