but...... the car.....well.....not so much
The pictures don't really show how bad the damage was.
We were out Saturday night and we were hit in the rear end by another car.
We think he was probably going between 50 and 60 when he hit us.
We don't think he ever checked up.
My spare tire was laying about 5 feet in front of his car and we were about 20 feet in front of him. We were stopped at a red light and I guess he just did not realize we were stopped. We think he pushed us all that way when he hit us.
The girls were scared to death! They were screaming and crying. They just did not understand. But they finally calmed down and they are better. They still have 500 questions that I will probably answering for awhile.
My back step is folded up against the car, my bumper is popped out on both sides, the back up sensors are gone, the hitch is messed up, the gate is buckled, my back windows are rattling, my seat belt is broken and my air bag system light is on. So it is at the shop being evaluated as to how much damage there really is. The other car on the other hand was a small Toyota and it is totaled!! There was nothing left to his car. And Daddy Bear said that is why he is glad we have such a big car. He felt like if we would have been in the van it would have been much worse.
It really does take a lot to hurt a Yukon.
At the end of the day the car can be fixed and I just THANK GOD that we are all okay!
