Happy Valentine's Day 2010

We started today with going to church. We had a party in Pooh Bears class today but I didn't take pictures. (I know, I know I can't believe it either) And if your wondering yes I made these outfits too.

Sugar Bear had a party in her class too.
She got to take home this cute little sucker flower.

After church we went to eat lunch.
The girls love to color while we wait for our food.

While we were eating we ran into one of Sugar Bear's friends.

Finally, they got to open their presents.
They were so patient this morning.
They both saw them as soon as they got up
but I wouldn't let them open them.
I made them wait until we got home from Church.

Cool Princess flip-flops.

And Monkey P.J.'s or as we call them P.P.'s

and matching slippers and panties

And Minnie P.P.'s

Oooh and pretty earrings.
It was exactly two years and one day ago that she got her ears pierced

And last but not least Sugar bear got a new blanket like her sisters.
But..... I am not real sure she is ready to give up the other one just yet.

Valentine's Day Brunch

I was in charge of the decorations for the table at the Valentine's Brunch. I was supposed to keep it simple. But as many of you know I don't really do simple. But I did not spend much at all. I bought the plastic skirts and red hearts at the dollar store and 10 yards of tulle for 77 cents at Hobby Lobby. The rose petals and flowers were bought by someone else.

I know you are thinking to yourself why did she take a picture of her with the milk carton. Well, it is because she never drinks white milk. She looked at me and said mom look I am going to try milk! But of course she did not even open the box before she changed her mind and got chocolate milk. Oh well at least she thought about it.

It was funny that all the girls sit at one table and all the boys sit at the other. She came home one day and said mommy guess what I sat at the boys table today. You would have thought she jumped over a mountain. That was a REALLY big deal for her.

A picture with her and one of her favorite Kindergarten aids.

Fluffy Dog....

Of all the pictures I took today I think this one may be the funniest one! This silly dog LOVES the snow. He was running around like a wild dog.

Changes....

You may notice some changes in my blog over the next couple of days/ weeks. A friend of my mine sent me to this website. When I read what happened to her and her blog all I thought was I do not want this to happen to me. So..... I think I am going to make some changes if nothing else to make me feel better. I love my blog and I don't want to stop, but I also want to try my very best to keep my family safe.

Valentine's Outfit

I loved the way this outfit turned out. I bought the skirt so I could copy it and make them myself and I made the shirt. I think it is one of my favorite outfits.

Valentine's Outfit

I made her pants a LONG time ago and just never made a shirt to go with them. So I decided last night to make this shirt to go with her pants. I thought it turned out cute and was not so Valentine's that she can't wear it again.

Valentine's Craft

Sugar Bear made this at school and I thought it was to cute not to share.

We are the Mighty Red Sox

Everywhere we go,
people want to know,
who we are, who we are,
so we tell them, so we tell them,
we are the Red Sox's, we are the Red Sox's
the mighty mighty RED SOX's.

Or something like that! Anyway Pooh Bear is officially starting her second year of softball. Today was her clinic. She learned all kinds of stuff from the high school girls. I think with a little work she might actually be a pretty good player this year. We are hoping maybe Coach Brett can whip her into shape!

Here she is waiting for the ball.
I think I may have to talk to her about breathing and not holding her breath.

As you will notice she has got her body in front of the ball. Good Girl!

Then she turned and threw the ball. Jennifer the head coach at the High School, said I need to work on getting her glove up and pulling it into her armpit when she throws.
That is new to us so we will have to work on that this year.

They ended the day with a pep talk from Coach Brett.

And a Big 1-2-3 Go Red Socks!

Father -Daughter Dance

Here are Pooh Bear's pictures from the dance.

She was SO glad to see this friend at the dance!

Mmmmm.....Of course she had to take a picture of the yummy cake.
She said she liked the heart sprinkles!

Father -Daughter Dance

This cute little flower corsage came from Mimi. I forgot to get her a corsage so I had to call mom at the last. I asked her to get me flowers so I could make one but she did even better and got her this beautiful corsage. It is was so neat it tied around the back of her wrist, instead of an elastic band.

I sent a camera with Dougie and Kylie to take pictures. I hope maybe they take some and if they do I will be sure and post them.

3 Billy Goats Gruff

Sugar Bear went on her very first field trip this past week. She went to see 3 Billy Goats Gruff. Pooh Bear went the same day with her school but at a different time. I went with Sugar Bear because it was her first field trip and I went with Pooh Bear on her first field trip. I was really glad I did.

Here she is with her class and her teacher waiting to go in.

My girls are getting so used to the camera. They don't think a thing about me having it and taking 400 hundred pictures everywhere we go. They just look at me and smile (most of the time).

Here is the cute little stage they performed on.

She started at the beginning of the play sitting with a friend.

But once this guy came out she was in my lap and we moved back a few rows. This is why I was so glad I went. She was physically shaking she was so scared of him. Every time there was a loud noise she would just about jump out of her skin. She told her sister how scared she was of the grinch. She thought he was a grinch b/c he took the stuff from the other actors. I had to explain to her that he was a troll. She did not care what he was she just knew she did not like him. And of course BIG sis told her she thought he was funny and she was not scared at all.

Cute boy

This little boy is like the son I never had.
So when I found this fabric I had to make him this outfit.
I think he is so stinking cute!

I am not near as cute...

Check out that double chin! But I am working on it.

Here is my newest thing. It is a body bugg and it counts my steps and calories burned. Mom and I had one in the summer we rented for a couple of weeks and I did lose some weight. But, I gained it all back. Sooo now that I own one I am hoping I can wear it longer and try one more time to lose the weight. MAYBE I will keep it off this time.

My Turn....

Sorry.... but no picture of me before. Trust me you don't want to see it, I am not as cute as the other two. But here are a few tips I learned from doing my own hair:

1. DEFINITELY use SMALL pieces of hair the big pieces hurt BAAAAD
2. Start from the top and go down (if you are doing your own hair), I started from the bottom and went up and it was a disaster! (But I went from the bottom up on the girls and it worked great)
3. Pull it loose a little from the scalp b/c if it close it hurts
4. If your daughter tells you it is tight that is what she means, they feel tight. (but pulling it away from the scalp helps with that a LITTLE)

I used 32 rolls in my hair and my head is sore. But all in all it is no worse than any other rolls you would sleep in. I will let you know in the morning how well I sleep or don't sleep. I really think I could have sprayed my hair got it damp and blew it dry or sat under a dryer. I don't think a child could do that but an adult could.

Curly Q Number Two...

She was excited about her hair which made me excited. She is not always happy with her hair. She does not give me any problems about her clothes we argue about hair. She was going on a field trip today so that helped.

Pooh Bear's Turn

I figured out tonight that it is MUCH easier to pull small pieces of hair. She has 16 rollers in her hair.

Here she is....

I am happy with the way it turned out. But next time I will dry her hair a little more before I roll it. When I rolled it it was wet and it should have been damp. Also, I will pull the rollers down a little further so that the ends will be curled a little more. Hopefully Pooh Bear will let me roll her hair too. She does not like rolling her hair like Sugar Bear does.
