Sugar Bear and her class made Gingerbread houses at school the other day and they loved it.
I think she had as much fun eating all the stuff off the house as she did making it.
I went and bought gable boxes and we coved them with graham crackers and icing!
And they used all kinds of goodies to decorate.
She worked really hard on hers and she had a reason for everything she did. At one time she had her tree up towards the top of her box. I looked at her and I said the tree was suppose to be on the ground not in the air. She turned around and she looked at me and said, "that tree is on the second floor of my house and it is in the window!!" Well I guess I could not argue with that. Her tree in her room is on the second floor and it is in the window. So when you look at our house from the outside her tree is way up in the air. So she really was thinking about where and why she put it there.
I caught her licking the icing off her hand. I really think she was getting it all over her on purpose!
Here is the finished front of the house.
She said the snowman is in the house and the Gingerbread man is coming to visit.
The gingerbread man is fixin to ring the ding dong.
Her house was the only one with a ding dong (doorbell).
One of the sides
The back.
She decided to move the tree out of the window and to the ground only
because she wanted to put the candy canes together to make a heart.
The other side.
Overall I think she did a really good job and she had a blast making it. Her big sis was SO jealous!
We are going to make our family one sometime this week.
