Elegant Tea Party

Get ready for a very LONG Post!

Today was Pooh Bear's Tea party at school she has been looking forward to this for weeks.
She has been learning how to dance the Waltz in Music and all about manners.
As for me I have been working with all the other mom's to plan it.

This is the head table for all of these.......

Characters a.k.a the teachers
Pooh Bear's teacher was Tweedle Dum

And we created these tables for......

 these Characters a.k.a. the students.

Here is Sugar Bear sitting so nice waiting on her sister.

All the girls were escorted in by the boys.

Pooh Bear said this little man told her that he did not want to dance with her
because he wanted to dance with another girl.
I asked her what she told him when he said that.  She basically told him
to bad he was dancing with her for the first dance.  I was really
proud that it did not upset her or hurt her feelings.  She said
he was just tired of dancing with her b/c he had been dancing
with only her in music for the last couple of weeks.

The music stopped and they swapped partners.

The music stopped and they swapped again.
This little man liked twirling her!

The music stopped and they swapped again.

And of course at the end of each dance she had to curtsy to her partner.

And last but not least she got to dance with her daddy.

Sugar Bear got jealous so she squeezed a dance out of daddy too.

Here she is enjoying her plate of food.
The tea was unsweet and she was suppose to sweeten it with
sugar cubes.  She thought that was gross and asked for the lemonade.

Sugar Bear asked me during the WHOLE tea party to please take her to see Alice in Wonderland.
So before we left she got her picture made with Alice and she was happy.

The Elegant Tea Party was a lot of fun and made for some really fun memories.

Fluffy Dog....

Isn't very fluffy, is he?

I love this dog to death I really do.  He is the best dog I have ever owned but...... I hate dislike his fur!  It mats so easy and every time I take him to be groomed they tell how bad the mats are.   Anyway, I think this hair cut is MUCH better than this one and I really like my new groomer.

Story TIme

We had a great time at story time today.
We heard the story of Three Billy Goats Gruff told three different ways.
She told it with a felt board and a shadow box and with a song.

Sugar Bear with one of her Friends

She loves to volunteer (just like her mama).

Her board had a picture of an egg.

Here she is acting like one of the goats.

Enjoying her snack while making her craft.

 Her finished scary troll mask.
She said she wanted to scare Pooh Bear when she got home from school.

Dance Pictures....

The girls had dance pictures today and it was CRAZY!  Pooh Bear had three costume changes!  I only got pictures of one costume because it was a MAD HOUSE.  I wanted to take pictures of all the costumes and them with their friends I just never found time.  I am actually glad I got these.

Here are the girls in their coordinating costumes.
I got their pictures made together in this costume for an ad in the program.

This is Pooh Bear's jazz costume.  The dance is to Party in the USA.
She also has a ballet and tap costume.  She is performing 3 dances at the recital.
She was okay with me dolling her up but she did not really like it.

This is Sugar Bear's tap costume.
She is only performing one dance at the recital.
Her dance is to Hello Dolly.
I love, love, love her costume!
She loved me dolling her up.

Fishing...

With Daddy Bear, thanks daddy for taking pictures!

Happy Birthday Nana

We celebrated my mother in law's birthday yesterday after church!

Cute new Appliques

I got some free appliques the other day and I had to try them.
I used the last two long sleeve dresses I had and put a cute design on them for the girls.
This is called a reverse applique which basically means I cut the shirt instead of the fabric.
You have to look close to really see the difference.

Spring Break - Day Five

We started off the day at Mimi's for just a little while.  My brother spent some time playing with them outside.  Then we left and went and picked up Pooh Bear's tap costume.  Hopefully I will have pictures from dance on Tuesday.  Then it was back home to play in the driveway.

Spring Break - Day Four

Oops I forgot my camera today.

But we spent the day with friends.  First we went to eat lunch, then we tried one of those jumpy places and the line was out the door.  Sooooo....... here I go again trying to improvise.  We tried bowling again but no luck there so we went to the park.  After that it was ice cream then home.

Once we got home Pooh Bear made me a surprise.
It was a picture of us under a rainbow.

And of course Sugar Bear had to draw a picture to.  Her Big Sis helped her.
If you look close you can see Pooh Bear drew dashes and Sugar Bear followed them.
It was team work, I love team work.

After a fun filled day we finished it up with Pizza and a Movie
Princess And The Frog

And of course what good is a movie without a bed made with every
blanket in the house and all the pillows. Oh and we could not forget the
dessert.... BROWNIES!!

I think Fluffy Dog is waiting on the crumbs!

Spring Break - Day Three

Again, today I had plans of doing something really fun but I woke up with a TERRIBLE headache.
(I think I am trying to get a head cold)  Therefore, we are spending another day at home just hanging out.

I downloaded a few new games to there ipods and they have been playing games off and on all day.
Their favorite is the cupcake game.  It really is pretty cute game.
They get to pick a wrapper, bake them, frost them, add sprinkles and then eat them.
What else could a mom ask for?
They make cupcakes all day and don't make a bit of mess.
Here are some pictures of the ones they have made.

Pooh Bear's                                             Sugar Bear's

Then after they got tired of playing games we decided to make a
Disney countdown!
We are going back to Disney World this summer and we
got to talking about it last night and we got SO excited.
So we spent a LARGE part of the day making a countdown.

We started with cutting the strips of paper and then putting them in stack of 10.

Last time we did a count down we only had like 50 days but this time we have a "few" more.
Since we got confused and lost count last time I decided to do it a little different.
I put the date on the strip so we can keep up with tearing the rings

Then I used my Cricut to cut a Mickey and Minnie and the girls glued all the pieces on.

Here is the finished Mickey and Minnie

As you can tell it wraps all the way around the landing at the top of the stairs!
We have a lot of tearing to do.

Spring Break - Day Two

Well we started out the day with plans to go eat lunch with friends and go to the movies.  Because Tuesday is the economic stimulus day where you get a movie, popcorn and a drink for $1.  But when we got to the movies the place was packed and all 3 of the movies we were thinking about seeing were SOLD OUT!

So......what now?
( There was no way we were going to tell these sweet faces we were going home)

So we improvised!
And decided to go bowling
Pooh Bear has been a few times before and did a really good job

I thought this picture was sweet!  I don't get to many of these "sweet" moments.

Sugar bear was happy because she was getting to bowl and she ate candy almost the Whole time

Sugar Bear had such a hard time getting the ball ALL
the way down the lane but she gave it her best try

Once the ball was rolling she stood there and waited. She was so still and so focused.

Spring Break - Day One

This spring break is a Staycation so.... it is up to Mama Bear to entertain, yeah!
The first day we decided to sleep late and stay in our p,j.'s ALL day.
But we made yummy cakes.
I baked them and let the girls decorate them whatever way they wanted.

Here is Pooh Bear with her blank cake and all her sprinkles picked out

Here is Sugar Bear with her blank cake and all her sprinkles

Let the decorating begin....

Here is Sugar Bear's finished cake

And here is Pooh Bear's finished cake

The best part of the day!  Getting to eat there yummy AND crunchy cakes

New Lovie

You may remember in an older post I mentioned that
Sugar Bear's blanket was not going to make it much longer.
Well.................

Mimi came in and saved the day with a new blanket.
I was able to pack up the old one and put it in the attic with all
of her other baby stuff.

Having problems

I tried a background from a new website and I got burned.  So now I am trying my best to get it back like it was, like I like it!

I am also decorating a wedding reception this Thursday, Friday and Saturday.  Hopefully I will have some pictures of that soon.  Maybe after I get the reception off my mind I can go back to taking tons of pictures and posting more often.
