Christmas with my Grandparents...

We went to my grandparents house on December 18th to celebrate Christmas! 

We had almost the whole family over to eat lunch! 

 Pooh Bear with her great grandmother! Now that really is special! 

 This is Buttons my grandparents dog.  They love her like a child and she is rotten! 

 I thought this was a cute picture of her licking her chops!  As you can see she never eats a thing! 

 After we ate lunch the girls played a game of Uno with my Aunt and Cousins!  
They had a blast trying to figure out how to play! 

I am always glad to see family during the Christmas 

and I am very thankful to still have my grandparents to celebrate it with! 

Daddy Bear's Birthday!

So last Monday was Daddy Bear's Birthday

and he turned 36 years old!  

The girls made him a poster and I made him a cake and cooked him dinner!  

Red velvet his favorite!

Make a wish !

I would have pictures of him opening his present but I gave it to him on Dec. 2nd.  I was thinking ahead and made the time to go to the Apple store and get him the iphone 4.  Once I got there I realized it had to be activated before I left.  So... I called him and told him his phone was fixin to stop working!  When he got home later that day he realized why! 

Sugar Bear Class Party

After a full morning off partying with Pooh Bear I ran out the door to Sugar Bear's Party.  But first I had to run over to Chick-fil-a and pick up nuggets and to target to get ice cream then I was off to her school! 

The first thing they did was a gift exchange!  So cute, Mrs. OC played music and they passed the gift until the music stopped and whoever had the present that is the one they got! 

This is the gift Sugar Bear got!  It came from sweet EG and she loved it! 

It was a fur real cat! What a great gift for her.  Since her Daddy is allergic to cats we will never own a real on.  But this is a close second, right? 

Here is the whole class with all their gifts! 

I did not do much for decorations!  But I did managed to make a few cute center pieces and I found some cute table clothes from Target! 

All of the cute little characters were cut out with the Cricut and "jazzed" up with glitter buttons and other stuff. The peppermint were made with styrofoam that was cut into a circle painted and wrapped in plastic!  Super easy and super cute! 

The tree was just cut out of glitter paper! 

I also made some cute little peppermints and hung them from the ceiling.

I brought all kinds of goodies for the kids to eat!  

They had chicken, cheese puffs, popcorn mix, fruit and milkshakes! 

I also made Happy Birthday Jesus cupcakes!  

The kids all sang Happy Birthday to Jesus and blew out a candle! 

I think Sugar Bear enjoyed her simple and sweet party and I was glad I could be there! 

Sugar Bear Class Party...

So Michelle and I were in charge of the Christmas party this year.  And we started planning back in October!  Boy I sure am glad we did because it was quite the feat.  Planning 8 stations (4 per class) for 40 kids is no simple task.  But I think we did a pretty good job!

We did a reindeer food station.  She made the food (oatmeal and glitter) and they made reindeer bags.  They had to cut out the shape of their hands(antlers), glue on eyes and glue on a red pom pom.  

Next she was off to make a reindeer ornament!  They had to stuff 20 white pompoms into the glass ornament, put a reindeer sticker on, stick on eyes and a nose and finish it off with a ribbon.  

Then she was off to make a reindeer canvas!  I had already pre-painted the canvas green with the red dots all she had to do was paint her hand, stick the eyes, nose, bow-tie and draw the antlers. 

After all that hard work she went to the snack station!  

She had a popcorn snack mix and a Santa's beard milkshake. 

I would not have ANY of these pictures if it was not for this sweet friend.  She took all the pictures while I ran around making sure all the stations were running smoothly!

After all the crafts the girls were off to one corner of the room and the boys were off to another for a book swap.  They did the Right family Christmas which was a ton of fun!  

 She ended up with a Junie B. book

Breakfast with Santa

This year was another great year at the church Breakfast with Santa!  I had to get there really early to set everything up and the girls and there daddy showed up around 8:30. 

By the time they got there a bunch of there friends were there and they were so excited!  

They thought it was so funny that they all had on polka dots!

  

And even more friends!  

As soon as they got there they got a number to see Santa.  

So while they waited they went and made ornaments!  

And no yours eyes are not playing tricks on you!  I am really dressed up as an elf!   I mean why not? 

And yes I meant to put that much blush on.  =) I was trying to make rosy red checks!  

Our number was finally called and we were off to see Santa.  Pooh Bear did not say much but Sugar Bear ran off a pretty good list.  The top two things she has been saying over and over again is the walking dog and the bitty twins.  She already has blonde headed bitty twins but she wants the brown headed ones so they can be brothers and sisters.  And I think Lanie the American Girl and art stuff is at the top of Pooh Bear list.  

At around 9:30 everything stopped and we listened to the Christmas story read by Santa!  Because although Breakfast with Santa is fun we still want the kids to know the REAL reason for the season!  

Of course our wonderful children's minister Elf Lyn was his assistant!  

And last but certainly not least!  The Balloon Guy!  He was as popular as Santa.  This guy is amazing and he is really great with the kids.  I mean just look at this awesome spider man!  

I don't know what else to say but AMAZING.   

He made Sugar Bear a Christmas Tree with ornaments and heart on the top!  

and he made Pooh Bear an Elf that she could wear on her wrist.  

After breakfast it was the children's party!  They got to play all kinds of games like this one.  They raced against each other to see who could open the kisses the fastest with gloves on!  

Then they competed against each other to see who could get the most balloons in the sweat pants.  

  They ended up calling a tie!  We felt like both girls were stuffed! 

Then they got to hear the story one more time!   You can never hear the Christmas story to many times!  

After the party we ran real quick to the neighborhood parade! We went with Lyn to see her girls. 

When we got there we met up with Lyn's husband and her dog Sugar! 

This was our first neighborhood parade and the girls were so excited!  

This is La, Lyn's oldest daughter and she is laughing so hard because Lyn and I were still in our elf costumes!  And Lyn was yelling at her and telling her she loved her!  

 Nothing like embarrassing your kids! 

K a little less embarrassed, I think, maybe.  I think she is used to seeing her mom be silly!
