Great Weekend

We went to my parents house at the lake this weekend and we had a great time.  I took this weekend to take a few camera lessons from my Mom.  She has been taking some really awesome pictures and I want to learn how.  I got a few cute ones I was proud of.  This was my favorite one from the weekend.  I felt like the color was pretty good and it was pretty clear.  I have lots more to show you.

A Special Day...

Happy Father's Day! 

 

They mean the world to ME!!  

We celebrated Father's Day today with Daddy Bear but we also celebrated our anniversary.  Daddy Bear and I got married 11 years ago today on Father's Day.  What can I say other than I still love him to death and I still like him too!  I hope we have many more years together! 

I was not even sure what to name this post.  This is what the girls kept doing the other day while they were waiting on my brother to launch his rocket.  I thought it was silly and sweet all at the same time.  

Silly girls, gotta love them! 

Better....

Okay so the Universal outfits were driving me CRAZY.  I worked on them again last night and I think they are better.  What do you think?

I shortened the skirt and the sleeves on the shirt.  

I think the skirt could maybe stand to be a little shorter.  

But the only reason it is long in the front is because she wears it so low on her belly. 

And I took some of the fullness out to the body of the shirt. 

I also added a little glitter the the Wonder Woman and the heart on her belt.

If you have a book worm like I do you need you have to get this book! 

She LOVED reading through it and answering all the questions.

 

Some of the questions took her awhile to figure out the answer. 

 

I thought the questions were funny and she loved figuring out the answers.

And I am sure she will have us (me) working on this page. 

More Disney...

Okay so I know you are asking yourself, "How many days are they going to be in Disney."  Well the answer is not that many but I can't stop myself.  But I do think these are my last ones.

Universal Outfits

I ordered these cute little shirts off etsy the other day and I like them.  But I feel like they are to big. 

 I am not sure what to do.  

 I have already washed and dried them and they only shrank a little.  So what to do now?  I also don't like Pooh Bear's skirt I made either.  (She wears her skirt down in the front and it makes this skirt to long.)  I am just not feeling this outfit.  Any Suggestions?

Bowling Birthday Party!

We went to a bowling party for these two cuties the other day. 

 

The girls wasted no time getting started bowling. 

 

After several frames of bowling we took a break to sing Happy Birthday.

Brother watched sister blow out her candle...

and then decided to blow out his! 

(And if you look close you can tell Sugar Bear thought about helping him!)

Of course my girls loved the cookie cake.

We had a lot of fun and the girls ended up in a tie. 

Silly Girls

The girls came running in the living room the other day and said look Mom we fixed our hair. 

Another Disney Outfit

I had a heck of a time with these outfits!  I actually bought both of these outfits and they looked just like Pooh Bear's.  I found them on a website for half price.  Well I managed to get Pooh Bear's done no problem! But I was almost done with Sugar Bear's shirt and my machine did something funny.  It ended up eating her shirt and I could not repair it.  I was not sure what to do.  So I found fabric that matched their shorts and I made Sugar Bear a whole new top. I used the shorts that came with the outfit.  I actually think it was a happy mistake.  I think I like them coordinating and not matching 

Final Day of VBS

Friday was our final day of VBS and it was a great day! 

The kids started with their normal Worship Rally.

After the rally and a few classes the girls came back to the sanctuary to perform their songs!

Sugar Bear really got into it and gave it her all.  She really got into the H-A-P-P-Y song.

If your church does not do the Saddle Ridge Ranch it is worth your time stopping by Lifeway and getting the cd with all the songs.  All the songs are really cute! 

 

 

Here is Brother Scott with his "holy" hat. 

 They cut a little of his hat each time we got closer to our goal.

We ended up reaching our goal so he did not have much hat left. 

 

 

Nate finally looked like a Cowboy! 

Here is Pooh Bear front and center.  She REALLY got into all the songs.  She did a great job! 

Mrs. Diane who teaches all the songs and motions told Pooh Bear she was really proud of her. 

I wish I could figure out how to get the video on the blog.  They both were really cute.

This was their bible verse for the week.

The boys gave the most during the offing so poor Mrs. Lyn had to kiss a COW!  

Although it was a pretty cute cow.

VBS Worship Rally

They were waiting on these guys.  This is Notorious Nate, Cowboy Craig and Yosemite Steven.  

 Cowboy Craig the chicken whisper is the girls favorite. 

They have had a BLAST all week long.  I will have more pictures after tomorrow! 

So proud of my girl

Sugar Bear was given a High Five Award.  The teachers nominate students and it is a big deal to get one.  You are chosen for acting most Christ like.  So what did she do to earn the award?  She gave a friend of hers her offering money because she was crying.  Her friend did not have any money to put in the bucket and she was upset and crying.  So Sugar Bear gave her friend her money so that she would not be upset any more.  AWESOME! 

I think she was embarrassed because she had to get up 

in front of about 275 kids and 35 adults to get her award. 

 

She left them hanging on their High Fives. 

 

She is not real sure why she got the award.  She really was just trying to make a friend happy!
